I decided to try my hand at making some Mini Primers.
These are the same fine quality as my full sized primers, just smaller sized with a 1 grain valve.
This primer holds 130 grains of FFFg BP. I know, I filled it to make sure of what it held, BEFORE I installed the valve body. So I’m pretty certain it’ll hold at least 140+ grains of FFFFg BP. That’s more than enough for a hunt or a day of range shooting. My figures come to 70 primes! That's a lot!
This primer is made from a smaller Elk antler tine. It measures 4-3/16” tip of valve to end of cap. The cap is curly Maple with a nice grain. The cap is held on with 8 very tiny and meticulously installed, solid Brass tacks just like my big primers, just much tinier.
This primer will fit nicely into your bag or a pocket. The primer will come with a small funnel to aid in filling. The funnel is not a perfect fit but it does serve the purpose. I used one, it works great. I’ve lightly aged the antler, so it appear worn and old.
I cannot ship this item to Canada due to Canadian Game laws.
I accept PayPal, MO’s, and personal checks. I only ship on Tuesdays and Fridays at least until the price of everything drops?
