    Ordered Jim’s SMR Today.

Nice looking rifle DrLaw. I know it will be a fine shooting rifle. I do love walnut and it produces a mighty fine rifle stock but I was conflicted. Just leaves the thought of ordering another in walnut at some point I guess.

HEARING PROTECTION can you hear me!

At 50 I'm starting to realize I'm not invincible. Close up eyesight is diminishing and hearing is really lacking. A life of turbine engines, gunfire/explosions, and nagging women. The latter caused the most damage.

What got you interested in flintlocks?

    Ordered Jim’s SMR Today.

I just ordered a SMR today. Been putting it off for a ***** age. Extra fancy maple and requested tight straight grain as opposed to flame or quilted. Is my preference. .45 for squirrel? Powder charges?

Post some pics when you get out after them. Nice lookin rifle and gear. I've killed squirrels with a .32, .36, and .40 and honestly don't see any difference in damage to the animal. I'd imagine a relatively slow movin .45 wouldn't be any different. Wish you the best.
