    PROPER LOAD FOR A DERRINGER

I have two of the CVA Derringers that I built - an older one and a newer one. The newer one has a chunkier stock that is less elegant. I have an Old Ironsides cannon too. A hoot to shoot, but it tumbles all over the place.

Took my friends son deer hunting, but it did not end up as expected.

I used to hunt a military base as a kid. It had a known pack of feral dogs. They were aggressive. I carry a modern sidearm when I hunt because of this. I have never had to use it, but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

This old girl needs some help!

I was very skeptical of Evaporust. It sounds like snake oil. I bought a jug and poured some into a plastic tub. I have a break top cartridge pistol that was given to me as a mass of rust. The cylinder would turn reluctantly, the action was stuck. The barrel pivot was stuck at a 45 degree...

Help with Identifying gun CVA .54 Cal

I acquired a total of three Mountain rifles. 2 in 50 cal and one in 45. I gave a 50 to a good friend. I am on the lookout for a 54. I don't NEED it, but it would make a nice addition to the set...

Can anyone give me some information on a flintlock I have owned for about 20 years pictures below

The lock says that it isn't a CVA, the hammer on the lock says that it is a Markwell Arms product.

    I can’t stand this....

I shot a deer once and the shot took out both front legs and the heart. The deer wheelbarrowed through about 100 yards of brush that would slow down a rabbit. I was amazed.

I was gifted a treasure trove of ML rifles and accessories awhile back.

Wonderful story. While the gift that was left to you is very nice, the real prize is having had a friend for as long as you did. I became friends with someone a few years back. He was a jukebox dealer. Great guy, very gregarious. He passed recently very unexpectedly. I miss his friendship...

    WANTED CVA only pistol wanted

Note that the late CVA may be the same shape as the Traditions. I have had that experience with the CVA Derringer. The early is a much more pleasing shape.

    CABELAS HAWKEN CARBINE

I was surprised as I occasionally check for such things. It was up for a couple of days - the gun haters must have been on vacation. At any rate, I had looked at one and ALMOST bought it from a local shop - but it was just a bit more than I wanted to spend. Then this came along and I made the...
