    Flint positioning.

I am curious as to how you guys mount your flints. Do you have the flint contact /| this way. or \| this way. Angle up or angle down.? I have tried it both ways. Which do yo think works best. Best I can do it with a key board. Thanks!!

What touch hole liner do I need to upgrade a Thompson Center flintlock?

I had a Uncle mike’s touch hole on my t/c 45 years ago. Lightning fast and easy to install. Don’t know if it is still available.

    Flintlock ignition question

I have a Syler (sp?) Lock but recently has not been getting a strong spark. Flint set up is good with an English flint held tight and properly aligned and spaced. Is it okay to dress the frizzen by gently sanding with sand paper or emery cloth. If so what grit would you flinters recommend. Thanks!!

    Hello from Curly 50 cal.

Not sure how to pose a question. But I am having a weak spark ignition problem with my Syler lock. Does using an emery cloth serve any purpose in dressing up the frizzen? If so what grit? My flint quality, alignment and spacing is good. Thanks for the help
