    Lyman rear sight ?

On a GPR, I removed the little spring in the rear sight, reinstalled the screw. Screwed it down tight to make it a fixed sight. Had to shim one side. Applied red loc tite to the cross pin and the perimeter of the sight in the base. Works for me. I did need to lower the front sight height a...

From the Davis website: We believe Davis triggers are the finest on the market today. They have heat-treated steel triggers and mild steel plates. The bars can be cold bent slightly to match the stock contour. However, before bending the triggers, they must be heated to a red heat. The sear tips...

    1/16th touch hole

If you can find a nut of the correct size, screw the liner into nut, insert the nut into the vise, and drill the liner 1/16. Worked for me.

Can I open this rear sight up and how much is normal?

Go slow with that file on the front sight. You may not need to remove as much height as you may think you do.

    Enlarging touch hole

Have you set the breech end of the barrel in hot soapy water. That may loosen any fouling holding the liner and allow removal of the liner. If that fails, I would try kroil to seep into and around the liner threads. Kroil is good stuff.

What is Wrong in this Picture?

It appears the leather/flint are not back far enough: ie. against the jaw screw. If need be cut or punch a hole in the leather at the screw in order to set the flint back further. If that is the Lyman provided cut flint, be advised that they suck.
