Yep. He posts nonsense under another name also. Trolling or some other motivation. I can’t figure it out.

Question for all the shot cup users

I use the plastic slit cups. I’ve used thin cards under the cup but I will get some of that stringy melted plastic in my bore. I now use a ball of TOW under the cup. Works perfect and no melted plastic.

Found in house i was cleaning out and help would be great

Definitely looks like a cut down Springfield. If you’re lucky it will have a nice bore and rifling. Lots of them were made into smoothbore shotguns. Give it a look but make sure it’s not loaded.

    Shooting in the rain

I’ve never noticed any effect from rain when shooting. I actually shoot better in rainy weather. The cloudy overcast skies let me see my sights better. Full sun messes me all up. Wind is a worse enemy than rain. Is there an effect on rain hitting a ball in flight? Maybe but I’ve not noticed it.

Large cast lead round musket balls

Tanner molds will make you any size mold you want. Yes they are in England. I’ve ordered several and they’ve always been in my hands within two weeks from the time I ordered. Awesome brass molds that use Lee handles. https://www.ballmoulds.com/

    J a n a , vintage identification

Most of his posts are equivalent to gibberish. Read the start of this particular topic. Someone else commented that the comments are AI generated nonsense lol. Beats me what he’s trying to get at. Here is a reply he posted December 10th. What’s does this even mean?? “Quote” Can you imagine...

    Question on sight in heidth

I’m not a conical person but I’ve shot many roundballs from 32 to 62. I’ve found in any of them is if I sight dead on at 50 I’m about 2 inches high at 25 and 5-6 inches low at 100 regardless of caliber. With that heavy conical the only way you’ll find out is to actually shoot it.

    Questions after range day

Using a brush will flake that fouling down into your breach and can lead to misfires. Just use a damp patch on a jag. You want to capture it on the patch and drag it out of the bore. Brushes are notorious for getting stuck in the bore.

Yep it got dirty. Normal. Am I missing something?

Tell me of your cleaning rituals

I’m not gonna add my cleaning regimen because others have already covered that. I will say that pulling a pinned barrel is totally unnecessary. You will eventually woller the holes in the stock or chip the wood removing the pins and reinstalling them. Coat the barrel in car wax and install it in...

Investarm Gemmer Hawken or Traditions Hawken Woodsman?

One is probably as good as the other. I’ve had traditions and investarms both. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other unless you happened to get a blem.

    Navy Arms Percussion caps

Those RWS caps are good ones! Are they musket caps or 11s? Looks like musket cap sized tins.

    Adjusting non adjustable sights

You said horse pistol then referred to a “colt style”. That does not tell us what pistol you have. As usual your posts make little to zero sense. I made the mistake a couple weeks ago of attempting to decode one of your posts and foolishly responded. I’ve never had a percussion pistol that I...

    L&R RPL04 Experience

I’d call Brad and send it to him. Won’t cost anything except shipping to get his opinion. Maybe he can fix it. If he can’t fix it maybe he has something to replace it. I had Paul at Home fix a lock for me one time a few years ago. Super nice guy. I think the repair cost me $20 and shipping.

    L&R RPL04 Experience

What’s wrong with the lock that’s currently in the rifle? There are numerous competent people that frequent this forum that can fix and tune that lock. The replacement lock isn’t an easy drop in fit. There are a few threads on the forum about the process. Brad Emig at cabin creek muzzleloading...

    Adjusting non adjustable sights

Put it on a bench and rest it on a sandbag. They all shoot high so compensate by either aiming low or getting a larger target. Start working on different loads shooting from a sandbag. Shooting offhand can’t determine if the gun needs sight adjustments or if you are simply a terrible shot.

    Bronze brush issue

In forty years of muzzleloading I’ve never ran a brush down a muzzleloader barrel. They just aren’t necessary.

    Thanks USPS

I shipped two guns out last week. Both USPS Priority mail with tracking and insurance. Both buyers received the guns and sent me a message. That was a week ago and the tracking on both packages still shows that they have not even been delivered.
