I was looking for a Lee mold for a .735" or bigger round ball mold and it looks like Lee does not make one. I then went looking to buy some already cast ones and I found Three Rivers has them but are out of stock at the moment. Where would I look for some .735" or larger cast lead round balls at a reasonable price?

Here ya go. Dixie gun works has lyman in stock

I purchased 20 of the .735 lead balls to see if they will work for me - if they do I will get the Lyman mold. Thanks to all who replied:ThankYou:

I checked on Marty Molds and their molds come with handles and cast four per mold - better deal than Lyman.

I was happy to buy several sizes of balls in 25 ct bags from Track.
A little speedy but a lot less than 100 ct bags or a mold the wrong size.
They even said I could send back the unopened bags which I considered until I thought of the postage…. I’d hate to throw them in the melting pot- I’ll just have to buy a musket to fit them!

I like the way you think, I will be using your reasoning in the near future 😉

Tanner.

You'll have to deal with the sprue but the mold will drop at the desired size if you're using pure lead.
