    Diamondback Powder

I believe it's made in Brazil at the old Elephant Powder Plant. I googled the name and the feedback was not the greatest as I was curious myself.

    Caywood v. North Star West

Both are excellent guns and both have excellent customer service. NSW guns may be a little more authentic but IMHO Caywood's fit and finish and attention to detail overall is much nicer. Not sure about NSW barrels but Caywoods are top of the line regarding construction and the steel that is...

Refinishing a maple flint longrifle that was originally stained with Aqua Fortis and rubbed with BLO. The stock has allot of curl but aged to a dull brown/green color that now hides the curl. I stripped the old finish down to the wood and went over the stock first with 220 paper then some...

    T/C Jags

I still have and use them. Bought mine back in the early 80's. Also have some of the original T/C nipples they sold in the same blister packs unopened, also from the early 80's.

Is there such an animal? You hear and see much about the rifles but I rarely if ever hear about fowlers from that area. Does anyone know of any examples, pictures? Thanks
