I set my board over muzzle, and short start plus long start with ball starter before I move the board to ram home with ramrod. This skips a step making it faster.

FOR SALE *Updated* Wire inlayed curly maple ball boards

Very cool speed loaders, beautifully made. As a matter of fact, You could leave the speed loader on top of the barrel, until after seating the ball all the way down with ram rod. Furthermore, speeding up the loading process even more. As long as, your sequence doesn't require the short starter.

Thanks tenngun, do you mind telling me what minnie is best to use, and can I get a mold for it? And what was your favorite load? At Deer Creek products, I can purchase a .575 rb mold, if it shoots decent rb groups [for deer shots] up to 125? Or am I better off with which minie? Thanks sir.

    First Flintlock....quite an opportunity.

Yea, his words are a little out there. I'm "handicapped" [paraplegic] and found it out of place here on our beloved forum. However, I applauded his beautiful gun and welcomed him to the forum. I have learned to go with the flow, so to speak, because I love my life and very happy living it.
