    As with many clubs and sites involved in living history or muzzleloading it seems that updating the site gets looked over quite a bit and when people that don't have a connection with anyone in the club or historic site and are just trying to get information about attending an event it easily...

    Bad thing about the facebook page if you aren't a facebooker is that you can click on only a few things then it blocks and asks for you to log in. So you can't get much info off of that.

    I don't think they have much about the rules of the camp or any camp information on the Facebook page. I do know they have all that on the official site and when I was talking with a friend who needed some info on it I could not access to get that info.

    Wanted to let someone know that is involved with the fort that the website is jacked up and cannot be used. I don't know if the webmaster is aware but if anyone who has a connection to the site or webmaster please let them know that it is inaccessible for those who are looking for information...

    Making cane/bamboo powder measures

    You can use a drill bit of equal size to clear the nodes and in between them. You might have to somewhat roast the cane over a fire or torch to help get the moisture out or it will eventually split.

    My brother and possibly another friend will be in my camp and if it all works out we will be camped up towards the road I think we were on "Roosters Run?" in June. I will look for the wool blankets and stop in.

    Mulling it over still. Weather is a big factor for me, don't mind the cold, it's the cold/rain that gets me especially on Sunday when I have to tear down a wet tent and gear and pack it up to drive 6 hours back home.
