The sights are not adjustable for windage unless you bang the front sight over I suppose. The rear sight has a small screw in front of rear sight notch to adjust elevation but that's about it.

    Traditions Trapper .50 cal

Shooting my new traditions trapper for the first time yesterday at a steel target 17 yards off the back deck. With 20 grains of Swiss 3F it was hitting low and left about 6-7 inches and couldn't get a decent group. I tried different patch and ball combinations, the best I could do was with 10...

    Pan lubing Lee R.E.A.L bullets

I got some beeswax from local craft store. I'll try and make a more rigid bullet lube.

    Pan lubing Lee R.E.A.L bullets

I have been using an old pie pan to melt down bullet lube, deer tallow and bees wax then refrigerate. I use a piece of copper pipe to cut the bullets out of the solidified mixture and shoot them one at a time but if they sit outside on a warm day the projectiles don't come out as cleanly with...

    WANTED Custom Leather knife sheath

I have a silver eagle hunting knife made in Japan that was gifted to me a few years ago by my girlfriends father but did not have a sheath. If anyone does leather working, maybe I could have a sheath made with some custom embroidery or something along those lines. I have field dressed several...

    Breaking in a new barrel?

I recently watched a video with Idaho Lewis on YouTube demonstrating the benefits of an over powder patch that helps protect the main patch. Possibly would be beneficial in the new barrel

    SOLD TC Renegade .50 cal

Up for sale is my Thompson Center Renegade .50 caliber percussion rifle. It has a 1:66 round ball twist barrel and is tapered rifling at the muzzle for easy loading. I believe this gun may have come from the Thompson center custom shop when they were still making these guns. Very bright shiny...

    Breaking in a new barrel?

I have a pound of pyrodex that I don't use, suppose I could use that stuff instead of my good Swiss and Goex powder to break it in.

    Breaking in a new barrel?

I acquired a 32 inch green mountain barrel .50 caliber 1:66 unfired. I heard from a fellow shooter/co worker that I'll have to shoot about 100 patched round balls to break in the barrel because of how sharp and new the rifling is inside the bore. Just curious to other people's thoughts on this...

    Bullet Lube Recipes

Casting some Lee R.E.A.L 250 grain bullets for my TC Hawken .50 cal. Looking to make a batch of homemade bullet lube. I've seen all kinds of methods on YouTube, melting wax toilet rings, mixing Vaseline with bees wax and crayons in a pot. What is the cheapest and most readily available recipe...
