    Salmon Leather

I’ve eaten plenty of crisp salmon skin off of the fillets I cook but never heard of tanned. And salmon whisky seems like a “hold my beer” kinda thing. It’s like the guy talking to the old moonshiner. Moonshiner says “have a drink”, guy says “no thanks “. Moonshiner pulls a gun on him and says...

Walmart here never carried black powder that I recall but they had pyrodex and caps (on occasion, musket caps) and at the end of hunting...

    Old family horn

Nice family artifact, it was made to hold powder, nothing more, nothing less. As you said, a tool. If you could get that sucker to talk I bet it could tell you some tales.

    Coach Protection Gun

That’s not what I was expecting for a coach gun either. Real unique. I bet with a full load it would thump your shoulder pretty good

Here's the latest from Jud Brennan!

He missed the mark by a country mile if he was trying to NOT make a show piece. Just the right amount of carving to keep the working gun look but still be an eye catcher, a beautiful gun!

How safe is it to use lead round balls while hunting?

You’ll be fine shooting game with roundballs but don’t eat dark chocolate or you will die one day https://www.npr.org/2022/12/17/1143239430/dark-chocolate-lead-cadmium-consumer-reports

Ya' never know what's up there.

a few weeks after the picture came out in the paper about a cougar I got the second one on a trail camera about 600-700 yards from where the original pic was taken. Just a big doggone bobcat. But I have heard screams in the woods that I can’t chalk up to a bobcat, that just wasn’t one
