So, my wife and I are on different different schedules. We both work days, but leave at different times of the morning. We even work at the same place, but our shifts are always off just a bit. Apparently, she pays attention to my late night YouTube watching. Anyway, we exchanged gifts tonight for our Valentine’s Day, since she will be leaving much earlier than usual in the morning. This is what she bought me..

This is my first black powder revolver. My jaw hit the floor. Needless to say I’m very much a rookie with these. So, I’m going to rely on y’all to help me figure this revolver out.

She has a tendency to do things that surprise me. This isn’t the first one either. A few years ago she bought me an unmentionable with a particular year of 1911. I’m still in shock over that one. But, I do the same for her as well. We get along very well.

I’m definitely going to need some help with this one finding out what I need and what I don’t need. I’ve not even scratched the surface of getting into cap and ball revolvers. Give me a rifle, I’m good. But, a pistol is a whole different beast. So, I’ll go ahead and ask forgiveness for all the questions that may be forthcoming.
