This old girl needs some help!

Much to my chagrin and my unfortunate neglect. My Armi Sport 1861 Springfield was sitting muzzle down in a soft case in the closet. The muzzle and barrel crown are heavily corroded as a result I presume due to humidity coming through the concrete foundation of my home. Sadly she has been...

Is loading from the flask really that dangerous???

Kind of smart *** reply to a reasonable question. If it is really that dangerous then why have they been making flask spouts w/ various volumes for 150 + years??

Is loading from the flask really that dangerous???

I mean I've been doing it for years from my revolvers. I understand the danger but isn't that a pretty small probability?? Your thoughts??

Just a gripe but when did all of the muzzleloading stuff get so expensive??

I'm not talking about this year...obviously this year is an anomly but stuff is way more expensive than I remember. I refuse to believe that demand for BP stuff has risen dramatically since the late 90's. If we could find some marketing research data I would guess that sales hav probably...

Just a gripe but when did all of the muzzleloading stuff get so expensive??

Let's throw out 2020 as an anomoly and not representative of a normal market.

Just a gripe but when did all of the muzzleloading stuff get so expensive??

I mean I know there is inflation and all but in the late 90's and early 2000's prices were way cheaper. I wonder if Italy joining the EU and the currency exchange rate is the largest contributor?? You guys thoughts??? I remember I used to buy Uberti revolvers from DIxie for less than 300 and...

Does anyone own one of those Traditions/Pietta Buffalo revolver?

I'm curious if anyone owns one of those long barreled brass framed Pietta made "Buffalo" revolvers? I am also interested to know how you like it and how it shoots? Thank you in advance.

    Range box?

I recently bought one of these and I'm happy with it plus it's cheap... And the main compartment comes w/ a gasket seal so it's reasonably water tight. https://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/camping/dry-boxes-ml1.php

    Black Powder in Dallas/Ft. Worth???

When I spoke w/ the woman on the phone from Shuetzen she told me that Tarrant County had banned the storage of BP(stores) and that's why there are no dealers in Arlington or FW. I have not confirmed this however but considering how rare it is there may be some truth to this.

    Black Powder in Dallas/Ft. Worth???

    Black Powder in Dallas/Ft. Worth???

I called the Schuetzen powder folks this afternoon. They are located in Arlington, TX and it turns out they will sell to the public. I will probably pursue this.

    Black Powder in Dallas/Ft. Worth???

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I've been doing business w/ Midway for at least 25 years and never had an issue.

    Black Powder in Dallas/Ft. Worth???

Does anyone living in DFW know of a source for black powder? In the past I had bought it from Alpine in Kennedale but it appears that they no longer sell it. I can order some from Graf's or Midway if I need too but I'm going to have to order it in a significant enough quantity to defray some...
