Much to my chagrin and my unfortunate neglect. My Armi Sport 1861 Springfield was sitting muzzle down in a soft case in the closet. The muzzle and barrel crown are heavily corroded as a result I presume due to humidity coming through the concrete foundation of my home. Sadly she has been sitting for at least 18-20 years untouched. Usually I would tackle this with some triple aught' steel wool and some breakfree but this stuff is pretty thick. What should I use to remove the corrosion??
