    Junk yard find

Gotta be worth way more for what it is than as round balls if it was good for them.

    Gunmakers Fair At Kempton

I took off work Friday. My wife and I plan on getting there right at opening (9am) to beat the heat. It's gonna be a hot one, hotter than last year which was really hot also.

    Gunmakers Fair At Kempton

I believe imported but they are steer horn, not water buffalo (from India or that part of the world I think). Definitely not water Buffalo though. My wife bought so many last year the seller gave us one of the bags they come in to haul them all and I believe the bag had an import tag from...

    Traditions Blunderbuss Loads

Any thoughts on this for blank loads in a blunderbuss or .50 cannon? It is designed for fireworks and was told not the best for shooting PRB from my hawken. How about just a load with a wad? It is very course compared to 4fg.

    Traditions Blunderbuss Loads

I own it. I had it a at localish muzzloeading shop and unfortunately they could not get the barrel off to see if any maker marks or anything on the underside of the barrel. If he couldn't get the barrel off, no way I was gonna try. Will probably bring it to Kempton with me in 2 weeks and...

    Traditions Blunderbuss Loads

Haven't measured it precisely. I could shoot a roll of nickels out of it! That would make an interesting "spread pattern" on a barn wall or the likes.

    Traditions Blunderbuss Loads

I am hoping to fire my blunderbuss this weekend for the first time. There will be a learning curve for me ad I have never seen one fired before.

    Best lead for casting ball?

Wondering what type of recycled lead is best for casting round balls. My brother picked up 47 lbs of lead from scuba diving weight belt for $2. Curious if it would be good. Also wondering about car/truck battery lead. Got a 120 lbs battery at work I could grab. Hope to cast my own someday.

    Help ID this rifle

I think it may be a .45 after all. A .395 ball rolls down easily. A .451 ball is tight.

    Help ID this rifle

Not loaded. Came from a family friend who switched his collection to WWI AND WWII arms. Also got a zulu shotgun, pietta 1851 Navy, and a jukar percussion pistol. Bought from family friend by my wife for a Christmas present 2 years ago. Taking stock of what I need before the Kempton gunmakers...

    Help ID this rifle

Was gifted to me. .40 cal black powdermusket replica is what the tag says on the stock. Only marking on it are numbers on the barrel 029370. It is 50" long. I haven't loaded a percussion before, only flintlock rifles. What cap should I use(came with 11's). Sorry pictures aren't great.

Cheap India powder horn customizing options

Pretty sure all the powderhorns from India are water buffalo. Not as hard as a steer horn.

    Gunmakers Fair At Kempton

My wife and I will be going. She wants to get another sack full of horns for her scrimshaw work. I need to make a list of what I need for what rifles and what pistols that I have. NO way I can remember, tried that 2 weeks ago when we stopped by Dixons after the Willys Jeep Picnic at the...

A new $200 insurance delivery fee????????????

ZELLE had NO buyer protection. Should be only used to transfer money to friends or people you actually know. If a place only takes Zelle, just "walk away". If the deal is that good and they only take Zelle, it is too good to be true.
