    Please help

The ball remover will get it out, it's just bloody hard going. Use some leverage.

Temporary bluing from Pedersoli, do they do it?

Don't worry they're excellent guns. I have three and all are great.

    58 good and bad

Cost of lead isn't an issue for me, even at factory prices. I get a gun sighted in then only fire when hunting. Not a big expenditure

    58 good and bad

I own a 62 cal smootbore flintlock, but I just don't see it getting the range to do much big game hunting. L We don't treestand hunt here, we either spot and stalk or most commonly stalk, which for some reason you fellas call still hunting? I could see if I was in a treestand and had a deer...

    Pedersoli Kentucky kit

The information for all their guns is on the website, helpful when you're comparing different models I've found.

Are you planning on trying 2F?

    58 good and bad

Ignore the gun, but this is quite often the type of country I hunt, fringe country we call it. Can be hard to get closer than 300m and at times impossible to get closer than 125-150m. Being able to shoot that far is pretty essential to a successful season. You can also shoot them at 20m during...

    58 good and bad

I've spoken to plenty of Americans that are under the impression we can't own guns I Australia, always seemed surprised that things aren't that bad here. Gun laws vary state to state but there are some crappy things such as this in mine. It's 14 days to present it to the law as a completed and...

    58 good and bad

The other option is to bore my rocky mountain hawken out to a .58 and buy a .54 flintlock. I know I can get a .54 in a pedersoli frontier for about $1700, to get a chambers in the white here is likely to be between $2500-3000 my money. Getting the actual kit is a headache as we have 14 days to...

    58 good and bad

As I said I know myself well enough to know I would end up just using one of them. The other would be sitting in the safe taking up room. I've not fired my inline since getting my caplock 50, would hate that to happen with a good gun.

    58 good and bad

I've been keeping an eye out as well as proactively speaking with some people e.g. Jim chambers, about a rifled flintlock. I would never part with my rocky mountain .54 caplock so I thought the next logical thing would be to get a 58 (I also own an inline and caplock 50). I just wanted a point...

    Evil lead!

Not to be a nitpicker but the Roman empire only began in 27 BCE and lasted until 330 CE. Prior it was a Republic and after it was two separate governing empires. By 1453 it was hardly Roman at all, certainly no more Rome than Charlemagne's holy Roman empire. The Mediterranean cultures and...

    Evil lead!

Rome was physically stretched too thin, full of corruption and infighting and could not hold off the vandals, visigoths, Muslims etc. That eroded the empire into dust. Several waves of plague and such also weakened it. When Belesarius retook Rome after being in the hands of Ostrogoths for...

    Ignorance with bag molds

If you had 5 balls or 50 would it really make much difference if you were set upon by a group of Indians?. I like to think I can load relatively quickly but in the time it takes to fire 5 balls I think you're going to know the outcome of the skirmish. In empire of the summer moon, the author...

    Ignorance with bag molds

Just wait until the day you guys start measuring in millimetres or driving in kilometres per hour, more straight forward than hamburgers per bald eagle or whatever you guys use in Imperial 😁

    Ignorance with bag molds

I've really been hanging out for the opportunity to buy a bag mould from Callaghan. Doing a handful at camp before a hunt would really add to the zest of it I think. If you chewed the balls would that sort the sprue out if it were a little large?

    wouldn't ignite

As has been said, you've pushed oil into the breach. I store my gun barrel up, when going shooting just remove the nipple, squirt some isopropyl alcohol and dry patch it, if I really can be bothered will run a cap through it afterward but usually not. The only misfire I've ever had with...

    Which first flintlock?

Prepare yourself for an onslaught of kibler suggestions. I have 2 caplock and 1 flintlock pedersoli gun and they're great, I've not heard anything bad from any of the people I know that actually own one either. The patent breech is not an issue as long as you clean and maintain your rifle...

How many shots can you get-When you have a GREAT flint ?

My pedersoli is still on its first since I bought it, done about 50 and still going well. Wasn't new when I got it so not sure the total.

What happens when you don’t weed the garden,

They have about a 7 year seed bank, I hit mine with glyphosate, dicamba and MCPA and as long as the seed hasn't matured it'll be rendered sterile. The problem is they mature so quickly.
