    What should I use to polish and smooth tumbler and lock pieces?

    If it is a coil spring I have no idea. If it’s a flat spring Jim Kibler has videos on his website. Most locks are pretty much the same. You should use a spring vice and be careful with the hammer screw. They break easy. Take pictures as you disassemble so you can get it back together

    Convert percussion to flintlock.

    I’ve converted CVA’s. There is a guy on eBay that sells a conversion plug. I just use a metric bolt and machine it myself. I had to move the flintlock forward about 1/16 for better flashhole alignment. It’s not really that hard to convert one if you are somewhat handy.

    I see them on ebay a couple times a year. They have a screw in choke. Also. I believe it’s Toledo arms made a drop in 12 gauge barrel for t/c guns. I see them for sale from time to time

    I used to use the works to clean wire edm parts. The gel worked great but the liquid not so much and that is a very very mild rust. I don’t think it would work well in a barrel.

    L&R lock mainspring

    Im currently building a double flint 20 gauge. The stirrup fork on both tumblers were broken. They are sending me new tumblers no charge to me. Great service. I’m impressed.
