    Finished my Colonial

That looks great! The honey colored stock is pretty. A lot better than going too dark. I have a Kibler SMR in .45 that I assembled 2 years ago. I’m getting a Colonial kit soon.

    Kiblers?

I got a .45 SMR kit from Kibler 2 years ago. It was very easy to put together. All of the pin holes have smaller pilot holes predrilled in the stock. I had to drill and tap a couple of holes. I'm going to get his colonial kit sometime this fall. Jason

    Old South Firearms

You can open carry a pistol on your hip in public, but you have to have a concealed carry permit to 'open carry' inside a vehicle.

    Jim Kibler's Colonial Kit

That is nice! I have the SMR in .45. It's beautiful and great to shoot. I've been following his updates, but didn't realize the guns were shipping yet. I'm very tempted to get a .58 smoothbore. Very tempted! I'll be ordering one soon. Jason

    Fire starters? 🔥 🔥

This may seem a little off topic, but it is about fire starting. It's a letter that was written to my great-aunt from her aunt. It has a story about my gggg-grandpa during the Civil War. Here is part of it the actual spelling ( I can translate if you can't understand). Once all the old People...

    Fusil de Chasse

I've been really busy with work but I had a couple of hours last Sunday to shape the tang and start inletting the barrel. I worked on inletting the barrel a little today. It's going slow, but, I will have a lot more free time this week.

    Tool use & nerve damage

It's probably carpal tunnel syndrome. It's caused by repetitive motion with the hands.
