Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
it's funny how so many people hear/read and repeat things that they really have no idea about. i have read over and over how a 40 cal. is defiantly in no way a "deer caliber" i have a friend and neighbor who is a deer hunter, he told me a 30-30 was in no way a deer rifle! i said Well i am glad...
here is another one i killed with the same gun 2 Fridays ago, it was working then. and the best place to kill squirrels in in the city park, but you might regret it! LOL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
just in time for squirrel season! this is a traditions.32 caliber crockett 32 caplock. it has had about 60 balls through it, that's it! it is my wife's gun but she wants a 45, it was built from a kit. all the ugly writing on the barrel has been scrubbed, the barrel was draw fired and the metal...
no Jim i use beeswax and olive oil or spit for hunting. but i sold a Kibler to a man in Tenn. and he loaded his gun with the dish soap lube and left it overnight and said it shot just fine. in fact, he killed a deer with the same Kibler and said it had been loaded with that lube overnight. so...
i just got back from the woods. i killed another one with the 40 SMR, sorry Jim it ain't a Kibler LOL but i have killed several with your great rifles. this deer came out the same spot as the last one i killed 2 Fridays ago. 80yd shot again. it was just cracking daylight; i could barely see good...
a friend of mine showed me this a couple of years ago and i ain't looked back. 40% dawn dish soap and 60% water. he sometimes shoots matches that go for a week and never swabs the first time! soak the patch and load and shoot. if you ever use this you will never use anything else! the 100th ball...
its pretty simple, the problem is right at the breach area, although the lube sounds strange and so does using a Tee-shirt for patching. i don't think the powder can be contaminated enough to make it not go off. the flame is not getting to the powder, or the flame is not hot enough to set it...
i built a Kibler fowler that i sold. but before i sold it i had to shoot it. i was surprised at the accuracy. i used a .570 ball because that is what i had. i used a .18 ticking and 65gr. of 2f it shot about a 2in group at 50yds. then i found some .600 balls and the groups opened up to 5in. that...
