    Proper luster of metal parts?

This is a Snaphaunce that I built around 10 years ago. I just shoot it, and wipe it down. It started "armory bright" and has just mellowed over time. There is no need to artificially age anything, just use it. Even the wood has mellowed on it's own. Why try to fake it?

    Traditional gun stock finish

I recall that your supply ran out over 2 years ago.

    Gun Stock Finish

This is the recipe for a gun finish that was given to me by an old time gun builder- 12% BLO 23% Turpentine 16% Shellac 21% Beeswax 9% Dish soap (Dawn is ok, but Ajax is better) 19% Naptha 6% Fish oil

    Coaching Carbine Done!

I made the barrel. Getting the bore straight took some planning! I ended up drilling from both ends (meet in the middle) and then made a custom pull through cutter. It came out straight and true. I then made angled vise blocks and did the octagon at the breech. The rest was lathe turned.

    Coaching Carbine Done!

Side view. LOP is 13.5" I had started it 10+ years ago, but made an inletting mistake on the entry thimble and lost steam. It's been sitting ever since. I can only find the repair now because I know where it is, but at the time it drove me nuts.

    Coaching Carbine Done!

I just penciled the path, and took a small v-groove chisel and a light wooden mallet, then very quickly outlined it. It was very easy (and extremely quick) to get the lines to flow and curve nicely. I then just cut the wood back with an angled chisel. This is the way I am going to do it from...

    Coaching Carbine Done!

Scratch built Coaching Carbine. Barrel is 23", bore is 20G- Made the barrel from scratch, posted an old build thread way back when. I went off a grainy image in an old book, and also made the safety on the Chambers lock. I made an inletting mistake on the entry thimble, and pushed this build...

    Cold/hot browning

I get a glass smooth finish with LMF if I only let it "bite" very lightly between applications. This process takes a full 2 days or more. Two steps forward, one step back if you will. The durability is nothing short of amazing.

Anyone make a small concealable percussion pistol

I know you asked about a single shot, but the .44 Sheriff won't be much larger, and if you "flatten" the grips (trim side to side) it is easily carried concealed.

    ---HELP ----Mildew starting on tent

Yep. White vinegar and sunlight! Had a leather holster that was put away wet, and it got the mildew pretty bad. I wiped with white vinegar, and had it the truck bed (the blacked lined truck bed gets hot!) out in the sun for a few hours over the course of several day. Sure fixed the issue.

    Unacceptable kit condition?

Totally fine, and normal. You will have a much more pleasurable experience putting that one together vs. a Kibler. Take your time! And, there is PLENTY of wood left over despite the dings etc. A lot of wood will be coming off.

    Back to flintlock

Incorrect. You are COMPLETELY destroying the value with that modification. It was modified to percussion (impact) to a degree that has permanently set it's course in action. The barrel was filed to accommodate the percussion lock, it went past merely installing a drum system in conjunction with...

    Kit stocks

Having only dealt with Pecatonica, I will say that they have provided a quality stock. I ordered a walnut blank for a coaching carbine build, and the walnut was top notch.

My custom California copper ML bullet.

Why don't you just do it like "everybody" else for 1/3 of the cost? 1-Buy a mold. 2- Buy Bismuth ingots with the *certification. 3- Shoot the now completely legal Bismuth RB. We shoot lead at the range, and confirm zero/trajectory with Bismuth on occasion. You would have to hunt quite a bit...

What is this called? Four barrel percussion gun part.

More than likely the hammer strike is linear. It slides forward along the top of the frame. The trigger more than likely is also the sear. Just like an open bolt MG. It would be a very easy way to construct that pistol.
