Any SxS trap shooters out there?

Something is fundamentally wrong with your shooting. If you really want to see if it’s the gun, have someone who can hit consistently shoot a few targets with it. I am wondering if your left eye dominant and shooting right hand. That would make it very difficult to hit targets. There is a...

    Pedersoli 12ga nipple sizes??

On a side note. My Pedersoli’s nipples were put on by a gorilla. I bought some bits and a Chapman handle from some guy who sells on Amazon. I didn’t know about Track of the Wolf back then, but other nipple wrenches in spite of fitting couldn’t remove the nipples without camming off. Since...

Frustrated - Hopefully just the growing pains of a newbie

I love cleaning my BP shotgun because the patches always come out bright white clean at the end. With my modern weapons, I see gray on the patch no matter how many I use. There will be quite a lot of fouling in the barrel just from one shot. Much more than a modern firearm that has had 200...

    Turkey load for a 28 gauge (56 cal) ???

It’s not a traditional load and there are definitely folks on here that would not choose to hunt with it, but you can see this fellows hunt with the equivalent of a 20 gauge. It could be the short cut you are looking for...

I’m all for anyone doing anything they want. So you can use your hickory rods and no eye or ear protection and be as traditional as you want.

Ramrods, Hunting, other than wood ....

I am not so lucky to have never broken a ramrod and the injury I incurred from it left me hesitant to go back to a wooden one. After my injury I ordered three ramrods. A steel range rod with a brass guide, a Delrin field rod for hunting and a wooden rod replacement for aesthetics. Delrin can...

    RWS #11 Percussion Caps

I’ve had great results with the RWS 1075s on my Pedersoli SxS. One failed to ignite my load first time because I was using too much oil in my barrels for storage. I believe the oil clogged the tiny hole in the nipple. Since I started going very light on the final coat of oil in my gun before...

    Advice needed for patterning.

Same here. My scoop is a modern shotgun shell carefully cut to carry the prescribed amount. For my 12 gauge, that is 75 grains 1 1/4 oz. shot.

I have the newer model from 2020.

    Pedersoli Shotguns?

I’ve been very happy with my Pedersoli 12 gauge, which is lighter than my modern shotgun. I don’t notice the trigger pull on a shotgun, it feels to me like I’m thinking the bird or the target dead. So I guess the trigger may be bad and I don’t know it.
