    1851 is getting ugly

Have you looked at the position of the cylinder compared to the forcing cone maybe enough lead is being scraped off the ball to keep it from properly contacting the rifling in the barrel.

    I've screwed up....

Alternatively you can screw in zerk fitting and pump it out with a grease gun. I haven’t had the pleasure of getting anything stuck yet besides some patches, but I saw someone on Youtube do the grease gun thing as a demonstration.

    New Mexico iron sights regulation.

We’ve done the anything goes route in the past and it leads to extirpation and unsafe, unethical hunting. The Sangre De Christo Mountains in New Mexico are breathtakingly beautiful and were once almost completely devoid of wildlife due to market hunting. Hunting regulations in New Mexico are...

    Ignition WOES!!

The hole in those is really tiny. Try poking at it with a thin guitar string wire to see if there is gunk in the tiny hole.

Advice on welding and drilling hole

Seems like it would be a lot better to drill and tap to a larger screw. If aesthetics are the concern, then file the head of the bigger screw to look like the smaller one, then you have the best of both worlds, it is a real fix that is functional and doesn’t look like a bailing wire and bubble...

    Cylinder Chamfering

I suppose if a person shot conicals, they would be better off with chamfered chambers, so they would have a shot at seating them without them camming in the hole and getting stuck.

    I’ll be back

There are pre-X everything and the old one is always better pre-war banjos and guitars, pre-whatever lighter Pedersoli SXS shotguns. Just checked my pre-Estes Goex and the labels aren’t perfect on them.

    Took the wife out today

That is some good shooting. Staying historically accurate with the eye protection too.

    Bellybutton lint

You can use it as dubbing to tie flies as well. Especially when you get good colors like from red or yellow clothes.
