    Tallow substitute

I always thought it had to do with the consistency when cool, lard is sticky, gooey stuff where as tallow is firmer, think old-fashioned tallow candles vs crisco shortening.

    Very old bees wax.

I know I have some that is well over 30 years old, I have had it for that long and it was old when I got it. It is still awesome, also the older it is the less chemicals ( pesticides medications exc.) It will have in it.

I rifled mine the way Johnathan browning did way back when but with a few updates. Be ready for a lot of work though cut one groove and rotate the barrel, you can barely see the twist in my square bar because I rifled mine at 1 in 120 inch twist I placed a piece of tool steel in the end and I...

Recoil isn't too bad but after 7 shots my head was thumping and I had what looked like a bunch of hickies on my shoulder from blood getting pushed to the surface of the skin

Made it all my self barrel is 4130 chromolly made on my lathe, rifled by hand and all the parts are hand filed. The stock is scarlet oak I milled on my sawmill. My first stock I decided looked too fragile, my second stock was Siberian elm and shattered while proofing.
