    Plugging muzzle for browning

No need for a watertight seal. I do use a dowel in the muzzle for a handle.

Has anybody actually used duracoat on a barrel?

Or rust blue it. Very durable and easy maintenance. And looks good.

    .36 Conundrum

Don’t use pre-lubed patches. I tried to use em and after firing, the patches were just a little ball of thread. Lots of fouling and poor accuracy. Use plain patches and lube with mink oil.

I think I’ll try a looser combination and see what happens...

    Loading resistance

This being a flintlock, my main concern is I don’t know if I would be able to pull a dry ball if needed.

    Loading resistance

When I load my rifle, I am pushing against a good bit of resistance. Nothing like feeling like my ram rod is going to break, but resistance. I’m using mink oil on my patches. Rifle seems to shoot acceptably. But, when I watch Black Powder Maniac load his rifle, his load seems to slide...

    Load data for 1861 Colt

Just pulled out my Navy Arms 1861 Colt .36 cal revolver. Haven’t shot it in many years. What is a medium powder load for punching paper? Any idea of the value of this like new, 1970’s era revolver? Thx, E..
