SPP in place of Percussion Caps

Really good idea Hylander. Maybe all of these shortages will be over with in 5 years or so.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Bought some non-lubed patches for the first time. Will try Precision Lube 2000 on one side only next range session.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Tried out some new Muzzleloader Originals .015" cotton patches with Precision Lube 2000 Plus. Accuracy was less than I expected. My go to patches are out of stock or not being made anymore. Muzzleloader Originals .018" ticking patch with Precision Lube 2000.

    NMLRA members

NMLRA member here for 3 years now. I joined just to shoot their annual Postal Match at my local range. It is too far from here in Ohio to visit the range in Friendship for their shooting events. I have only gone there once.

Can anyone identify the model of this Investarm Muzzleloader?

A Hawken rifle sold through Cabelas but manufactured by Investarms. Obviously a flintlock. Should be a good solid rifle.

My other Investarms Hawken, never fired. Built in 1984. The older Investarms have really nice wood.

I went to my first Spring Skirmish this May as a Guest/Visitor. I wish I lived closer so I could get into the rifled musket competition. I was told the property is around 400 acres. I'm going back either this Fall or next Spring.

    Pietta New Army .44

I purchased a 2nd cylinder over the winter so I don't need to keep reloading just 1 cylinder. I only got to shoot this once late last year. I should be going out the range in the next few days. Can't wait to shoot lead round balls out of this.

    Goex is a go!

I only use Olde Eynsford. I have 1/2 # of Goex as a backup.

Platform for RMC revolver loading stand

I took some scrap boards and made a support platform for my revolver loading stand. Might add more stability when pressing a load into the cylinders.

    Pietta New Army .44

I shot 18 lead balls today. Recoil was lighter than I expected. I set the target at 45 feet. Accuracy was very good for the first time shooting. The spent Remington caps tend to stay on the nipple so I picked them off. Loading the cylinder takes a long time so I will probably buy 2 more Pietta...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Tried putting Remington #10 caps in an inline capper probably meant for #11 caps. The #10's are tight because the caps are about .01" too tall.
