So I made up some small pistol primer adaptors to try out.
Not my idea, saw it on youtube.
They fit and work perfect.
I now keep some primers in my range box.

Really good idea Hylander. Maybe all of these shortages will be over with in 5 years or so.

Could you please give a link to the youtube video?

Great idea but begs the question: Are small pistol primers any easier to find right now than percussion caps?
A little bit easier around here.
But you can also use small rifle primers which are easier to get.
I have both on hand.

Small pistol primer conversion
Great idea, thanks for passing it on. I’m not short of caps but I’ll give this a tryout, one never knows.

The idea just struck me, used primers minus the anvil and with the firing pin impression hammered out might accept a child’s toy cap.
Must try it.
