    Crossfire Question

    I have been putting a dab of toilet seal ring wax above the ball. It stays put and doesn't seem to cause any trouble. I don't shoot well enough to have an opinion on accuracy.

    This one is workable. I assume the percussion cap is used to fire the pan powder? It would be expensive to build.

    How small is too small?

    If you just want to shoot for fun you can stack up patches until the ball seals the bore. I've been doing that with a 12 gauge matchlock. If you are expecting some decent accuracy it may not work out. Try it and see. It will go off and the ball will go downrange.
