    Bullet moulds

I am with you. Muzzle Loaders are a much more organic ritual. I feel much closer, more a part with black powder in a more Zen like experience than to my metallic cartridge guns.

How to use a Colt Walker flask?

Mine does have a threaded rod. It seems like it is screwed down with only a few grains of charge showing. Not sure how to grab it and back it out.

How to use a Colt Walker flask?

Apparently there is a way to adjust the amount. There is a threaded rod that goes through the brass part that goes inside the flask. Marked it is "other end" in my picture. How do I use it to adjust the amount of powder? Do I take this apart? It has tiny screws.

How to use a Colt Walker flask?

I have a repro of a Colt Walker Flask. I can't find a proper procedure how to use it. I want to use it on my 1847 Colt Walker. I know there is a sliding door to a compartment to hold RBs, but the rest is a mystery to me. I have read that it can be set for measures. There is a measuring tube...

    FIREARMS! Shhhhh

Somehow we got a break. Muzzleloaders are not considered firearms! Duh. A tube filled with an explosive when ignited expels a cloud of flame, smoke and a projectile(s) but it is not a firearm! The USPS is more worried if we ship or receive a watch with a lithium battery. Must be disclosed. But...

Why are Uberti pistol boxes so flimsy?

eBay started with a guy selling an empty cardboard box and it went forward from there. I am the 88th post. Jeez, drop a rock in the Muzzleloader pond and see how far the ripples can go.....

    Bullet moulds

I am thinking about casting because I like to shoot "originals." My Swiss Jaeger rifle was made 18th century. High end gunsmiths built a rifle and it came with a mold that was made for the specific caliber of the barrel of this gun. This .70 caliber came with a .680 mold. My Danish Jaeger...

    finishing a Kibler lockset

I am sure you are doing this right so you can put the hardening back in the steel. How hot does steel need to not warp? I would never even think about doing this though it really does give fantastic color!

Whats better Uberti or Pieta? Much the same. Minor differences. see one and buy it. Take a Trust the seller with a lot of messages/previous sales. Why are caps hard to find? They are not that hard to find. I just bought 500 of them and four pounds of powder. I don't sell, just for reference...
