    1860 Colt Hammer Redo

I guess this thread was not finished by me. This hammer modification was only to the hammer face to help with firing a cap. the hammer face was enlarged and lastly the slot for the safety pin reinstalled on the face. Hammer can now rest on the safety pins. The slot is now smaller, and the hammer...

I agree, cutting that small amount could be a problem. Much better to use a file.

To paint that really nice looking wood to me sounds stupid. But I really like the results. So, you can make mine green please. Really looks great. Another perfect job.

Lengthening forcing cone to reduce cylinder gap, in revolver with integral barrel.

I have no idea the value of this handgun. You say it shoots fine with the rough bore. To keep it original, would simply make a new cylinder. Man made it once, man can make it again. Then you have a cylinder of proper length and the gun can be put back in same condition as shown. Would not take...

    Adjusting non adjustable sights

Then that makes it easier, use a slightly larger box. And stand in side the box. With practice you should find it less difficult to hit the box.

    Adjusting non adjustable sights

Let me make a guess first, you are left handed? OK, for sight correction, you need to know these 3 facts. 1 The distance you are shooting. Not just a guess. 2 The group distance from the bulls eye 3 And the distance between the sights accurately. I do not need to know what gun. Take the...

    1/4 scale Napoleon

Zulu, You must be suffering from cannon burn out. Take 2 aspirins and then in the morning take a look at the crowd around your cannon. Buddy, you're the winner. I'll gladly take second unless if you split yours up, then I will be left third, thanks.

    1/4 scale Napoleon

Adding up your time, you are probably not making a good hourly rate at all. But what you are making will be master pieces to be really valued. Hand crafted (each piece) and such great detail. Yep, these are real winners. I am glad you are sharing your pictures. Great work.

    1/4 scale Napoleon

Your drawing is new to me also. The correct is exactly what zulu is making. And here are some drawings that are very similar. You say cast your own barrel, but then you want to know who makes? Trust me a well made cannon is not a small project.

    My Pietta 1851 Wedge Story

Sounds like the first wedge did not fit correctly. A piece of brass 1 to 1 3/8 in dia. about 4" long is very handy in the shop.
