    cva/Douglas barrels on mountain rifle

I guarantee you, those drums are not factory. Unscrew it and it will not be the proper patent drum that cva used.

Do you think that modern ML firearms have any investment value?

When it's cheap... buy it and save it for later. Always great for barter.

    cva/Douglas barrels on mountain rifle

It's not speculation. When I was prostaff for cva I had this conversation with the people and he confirmed, the very first models were Douglas until the factory in Spain tooled up to build them there.

    Just about fed up…

Now, after you load up.. pull the nipple and see if powder is under there. If not, could be anything from oil contamination to a blockage in the breech.

Lol it's funny when you see someone shooting 103.2gr black powder . That's the sweet spot! Black powder doesn't burn efficiently enough for that to make a difference.

If it doesn't go off, look at the most obvious area... Remove the nipple and see if there's powder under it.

    Just about fed up…

Blue lubed patches are most likely a tc or Thor bullets product. Keep it simple, index on a patch or plain water. Most likely you are soaking your breech.
