@Compressorguy , did you find that the dye rubbed off when you oiled the stock? I am working on a walnut burial flag case and on my test piece the dye seems to come off on my hands a bit, just curious what your experience is.

A guy we shot with years ago was checking spark on his new flint in his bedroom with a load in the barrel but empty pan, it fired and put a .54 hole in every piece of clothing in their closet. Momma was not happy!
