Quest part lll

The last part of my Quest is an Elk hunt in my home state of Colo. For the 2025 Elk season I will have 13 preference points, which will enable me to hunt a prime unit for black Powder. This will be a bucket list hunt, with an Outfitter. It will also probably be my last Elk Hunt. By the time I get 12 or 13 preference points again, I will be closer to 80 than 70.
Now I know a 54 cal PRB will take an elk…… when things go right. I want to be prepared for when things go sideways. Hence the 54 cal with a conical, two warm up hunts, and 18 months of shooting and range time. I think I can obtain my goal, and enjoy the steps to get there.
