I haven't shipped many [7 or 8], but no problems. The only problems with USPS have been torn Money orders and misrouted mail. I have received more than thirty without difficulty.

OOOps. I mean on rifles/shotguns/pistols. not revolvers.

I cut strips [1/2" X 2 " pieces of very heavy leather. They are kept on the gun at all times. After one drop. they will stay in place while you cock and fire. 35 years, no damage. Dale

I had both, gave the Browning to a friend. Both worked fine for me.
