I used the same measure for powder and shot I think I saw a chart somewhere that said 80 gr is equal to 1 1/4 oz of shot

This load was 80 grains. I gues I could cut in five grain increments? This is for small game only, squirrels, rabbits. thanks, Kevin

I use 3F to prime, I Have never had a problem. I can load and prime frim the same horn.

Years back I shot in the N-SSA and the beeswax and crisco lube was what most everyone used on their minie balls. 3:1 or 3:2 that and a dab of crisco in the cavity amd you could shoot that musket all day long with no loss of accuracy.

That is really beautiful work. The thing that attracted me to muzzleloading was the craftsmanship in rifles bags etc. just fantastic work. Now I’m gonna go throw rocks at the stuff I made hehehe

Do you tear off the twisted end or just seat it as is? The caps will burn thru the paper? Also do you put grease over each cylinder? Thanks , Kevin

I definitely shoot my smoothbore more than my rifle. It’s just too much like fun
