    How to keep hunting load dry?

    Don't use a cap !!! Use a Mag Spark adapter with a 209 primer ,tape muzzle with black electrical tape and you have a Watertight ignition as long as you keep it in a unheated garage /room . The mag Spark also saves nipple erosion being sealed ! Buy an extras cap (as important as a extra flint)...

    That's easy buy whatever you find in Flint lock /step #2 send barrel to Bob Hoyt and get exactly what you want in a progressive slow twist , otherwise try finding a unicorn as it"s easier and more predictable (none to scarce ) /Ed

    I don't like waste either ,why I use a scale and load lots of Lanes tubes at my bench at home mark them type/weight and absolutely know no waste/dampness/will happen/Ed

    If you hadn't noticed Roto metals (PURE AIN'T) the BHN on my Roto metal pure is 8-9 on a Lee tester and 10.4 is what I call 20-1 for shooting long ! Can't say on a Cabin tree (sold mine) and went back to the Lee as it confirmed the Lee /Ed

    Lewis used factory stocked 1-48 twist no way using RBs , but his conicals were outstanding . So much I own the mold in 45/50/54 and they are killers on anything you hit!/Ed
