Rifle with nipple changed to small pistol primer, inline type?

I looked that up and yes I believe thats what it is. They use shotgun primers I guess and advise against using pistol primers. Never heard of it. Thanks!!

Rifle with nipple changed to small pistol primer, inline type?

Could be, I dont know, have never seen anything on a hammer rifle but std or musket nipples. I will look that up. Thanks.

Rifle with nipple changed to small pistol primer, inline type?

My question is if a rifle, hammer type, was fitted with an inline type nipple for small pistol primers, would that have necessitated drilling out and re tapping the hole, thus making it difficult if not impractical to go back to a std nipple?

Investarms Plains Pistol Half-Cock Not Secure

I have two of these pistols, just checked. One does like the OP, but only 2 clicks. First click is half cock, then pull it back to kind of a hump then lower hammer, to rest, or pull back for full cock. The other only has two positions, half cock or full cock.

Shot the old Lyman 54 some yesterday

60-70 grs of 3F is a good target load. I would save the full Monty loads for hunting.

    H and R Springfield 58 cal.

"Green around the gills" is a joke for something that doesnt look too good. Appears to be a lot of pitting in the bore.

    Misinformation on GB

GB has nothing to do with what sellers charge for shipping and it varies a lot by what the dimensions of the box are and how much insurance is applied. I got hosed the other day big time because I shipped a rifle stock, just the stock in an oversized box, with lots of padding inside. My listing...

    Misinformation on GB

Not likely. I ship various rifles all the time and you cant ship anything for $25. Dream on.

Do you know if an FFL is needed on both ends or just to receive it? Thanks.

    Shipping to New York

A GB seller says on his listings that NY now requires an FFL on both ends to ship a BP rifle to NY. I sold a T/C on GB to a NY guy and waiting to hear what he has to say.
