I have an idea and wonder if it’s been done

I have an ex wife that may qualify (?) :)

I have an idea and wonder if it’s been done

Of course it is… the land of no deer and blue haired liberals. I’ll stick to cardboard deer cut-outs and test it anyways.

Perfect- So that would be roughly a 2 ounce load with a 325 grain roundball and a 2 1/3 dram eq. with 65 grains. That doesn’t sound excessive, assuming my math is right. (Still on the first cup of coffee)

Very gently mule… do you know many? That was so good, I may have to reuse it. :)

Mike Nesbit… I am on it. I haven’t shot buck and ball but I’ve scoured YouTube and have read some past threads here. I just thought I’d ask and keep reading before I pull the trigger.

I’d rather not over charge if someone had experience or advice here. I’m not a “hold my beer and watch this” kind of guy.

I have an idea and wonder if it’s been done

I carry my 62 for grouse and I wondered if I had a light shot charge of #6s, say 7/8th oz, and happened upon a deer or elk, whether I could just drop a roundball over it with a card? Has anyone tested this? Is it too much? I usually charge 65 grains of 3f. I know a 1 1/8 charge of shot kicks...

    BEWARE EMAIL SCAM

I received an email ‘bill’ for McAfee for $348 for virus software with a 800 for questions. I googled McAfee’s number and called them directly. Total scam.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

The best aspect of this thread, besides reading about others experiences with the same affliction, is that I feel almost compelled to be productive in relation to my sport. That hasn’t been typical of my track record… I used to practice and prepare a couple weeks in advance of the season with my...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

The long term plan is to build two houses; one to AirB&B and one for my kids. This is just a place to hang my hat while saving the money to build. I love being able to shoot though. It’s a high school dream come true. I spent forty years commuting an hour and a half down here on the weekends to...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Today I ran down to my new hunt/fish/ocean property. Installed a new window, cut firewood and put up a new steel target. I thought I was pretty snazzy going 2 for 2 but of course I spent seven shots to hit the smallest target offhand from about 35-40 yards. Mike Brooks 40cal SMR. She’s a honey!

    Range rod carrier

So I was at this muzzleloading show the other day and an old timer was down-sizing his equipment. At eighty something he was having a hard time getting around and is considering that he isn’t able to participate like he used to. Long story short, he had a range rod carrier or maybe he actually...

I thought so too! If I was smarter, I would’ve grabbed the guys name if I needed another one. It also makes me want to try and duplicate it. Today was a good day.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I went to a muzzleloader show here locally. I saw some neat stuff and everyone seemed nice enough. I only brought one thing home- a maple (I think) and antler priming flask. I thought it was really cool and would’ve bought it at twice the price.
