    Patch knife carry

I just put mine in the front half of my shooting bag. One old fellow used a couple Chicago screws to attach his sheath to his strap. Come to think of it he may have stitched the bottom and used a single Chicago screw at the top. I'll have to take a look next time I see him.

    time machine

I would not have made it past the double pneumonia as a little guy. Even in these modern times medical procedures have their shortcomings. I don't remember much other than crawling out of the tent multiple times. The nurses strapped me in the tent, so I couldn't crawl out. Luckily, my Aunt...

    How old is this powder?

I love old powder cans, both blackpowder and smokeless. I've been after an older Dupont Black Powder can for quite sometime. They come up on auction from time to time. Sometimes they can be found at antique stores or fleamarkets. Anyway, congratulations on the find! I have a few powder cans...

Kinda the opposite for me, I purchased a made in the USA Duluth Pack Shell Bag and my wife stole it for a purse. She kept it for quite sometime, it was a few years later before I got to use it.

    Boiled Linseed Oil Finish?

I can give you a reason why not, drying time. I used BLO on a shooting box, applied as recommended and rubbed it back. The box has never left the house, never been in the heat or sun, yet after 34 years, I still have to tap on it to get it to open. The outside is dry and looks nice, but the lid...

Powder Inc. doing a little price gouging?

A few years back I ordered from PV and was very happy with the results. I checked their prices yesterday, PV vs a local shop, the local shop must not have got "the memo" as their price was $30 per pound cheaper on the same unmentionable powder. I made the purchase locally.

    TRIED TOWNSENDS ONION PYE

Interesting, I didn't know that about ginger or that folks thought it to have water purifying benefits. I used distilled water to make the ginger beer, thought seriously about using the well water at the old hobby farm. We used to have an annual shoot where folks brought food and drink. Of...
