    Wad carrying?

Alright all you skycheif smoothbore shooters out there, how do you carry those sopping wet wads in your bag while out there bustin' up some limb rats? A reasonable person would just use a ziploc bag but that just ain't very cool...

Barber pole stripe on a ramrod.

I did it to one of mine because the hickory wasn't taking on near enough color from the dark walnut stain I was using. Just used a propane torch. I like how it turned out!

Do you display your flintlock or other guns in your home

The ones that are too long for the gun safe live on the wall.

    Picture Request!

Is it wider at the end? I would think overshot cards would want to flip without an approximately bore sized end on the rod.

    Picture Request!

Hey all, maybe a bit of an odd request but those of you with smoothbore fowling pieces, would you be able to post a picture of your ram rod or at least the end of it? Trying to figure out what is historically accurate or at least what is the most useful for this style of muzzleloader.

    Round Ball Test Pack

I think y'all misread my post, I am looking for a test pack of round balls. I don't want to spend $75 on a couple hundred round balls, I'm hoping to find a "test pack" of round balls that has like 10 balls in each of varying diameters for a given caliber.

    Round Ball Test Pack

So before I go any buy a mold only to find that the size I chose doesn't shoot well, does anyone know where I could buy a "test pack" of round balls? I'm thinking like 5 or 10 balls in varying diameters for a given caliber (.62 smoothbore in my case) to find which one groups the best. Now I know...

What got you interested in flintlocks?

When I was 15, the idea of a gun that I could order and have shipped right to my door was too much for me to resist. I got bored with it as I was trying to use Pyrodex but 15 years later I picked up the hobby again during covid and haven't looked back.

    SOLD Ball bag for sale

How tight does the stopper fit? Looking for something to use as a shot pouch that will live in my shoulder bag and would hate to end up with a couple handfuls of #8 in the bottom of my bag...

    Another lead ID post...

Any ideas? Apparently it's fairly hard but maybe has some use in a smoothbore.

SOLD Pietta 1851 Navy Steel .36

Hey all, up for your consideration is a Pietta 1851 Navy, .36. The only reason I can't claim brand new, in box is that I did take the barrel off for whatever reason and put a small ding in the retention spring when removing the barrel wedge (see picture). Never had a shot fired through it. I...
