Has anyone tried a "Franken gun"?

Watch one too many spaghetti westerns and eventually someone thinks they can be like Eli Wallach:-)

1858 Remington cleaning lead buildup in barrel... what is safe.

I use this stuff on my centerfire revolvers. Use as directed. Believe me, the barrels really get a lot of lead in them and this stuff gets it out. I use to make use of the Lewis Lead Remover but this stuff is much better. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1014642997?pid=444070

    HAWK??

They're throwing axes instead of tomahawks but one wonders if it would stop some folks from wanting to commit adultery today. It's just a thought.

Has Powder Inc Gone Out of Business

As the title implies; their website doesn’t work anymore and my email bounced back. I wonder how many other powder distributors will go out of business. It looks like black powder is disappearing as fast as percussion caps.

    Ridiculous Cap Pricing

I ordered one as well as some priming compound. I'm not a soda drinker. So how do I ask for empty soda cans without alerting my black-powder buddies to what I'm doing? They may expect me to give them a few caps or ask to borrow the capper and not give it back.

Trying a little "Long Range" Smoothbore shooting at the "pesky" soda cans.....

Ooops. It looks like they don't have the "stickies" on this forum. A "sticky" is a message thread in a sub-forum which is frequently looked at or searched for. It may also be a thread of such importance that the moderators feel that it should be located where it can be easily found. So a...

Trying a little "Long Range" Smoothbore shooting at the "pesky" soda cans.....

I’m not as good as BPMS, Parsons or Knapp but this is what I got. It’s a little pricey but lots of fun. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1017767932

Trying a little "Long Range" Smoothbore shooting at the "pesky" soda cans.....

That’s a great video. However, I’m curious. Why don’t we see very many videos of the Trade Gun shooting birds on the wing or clay pigeons? I just acquired a trade gun and will be trying it on clay pigeons after I see how it performs with patched round balls. In the meantime, videos of the...

    Clip on rear sight

Sorry for the stupid question but what did you use to make the sight? I've read of people using anything from scrap metal to brass or steel angle bracketts.

    Ridiculous Cap Pricing

Within the last couple of years, I've started shooting flintlocks much more. In fact the most recent black-powder acquisitions have been flintlocks. What I discovered was that with the average amount of shots that I could get from each flint, it was cheaper to shoot than with percussion...
