    FYI

Muzzle down always for me. This also stops the oil from soaking into and,in due time, ruining the staock.

    What did you do today

When I started this thread, I did ask ‘What did you do today with regard to shooting’ but to be honest, I do like reading about ‘normal‘ life in the US. Yes, I would happily see it moved rather than closed. However, today, I accepted an invitation to a shoot next Saturday. 140 mile round trip...

    What did you do today

A bug hotel is just a pile of junk put together as a refuge for pollinating insects. We have so little open and uncultivated space in this country that many insects and small mammals are on the endangered list. Intensive farming and unrestricted use of chemicals, now happily legislated for, did...

    Ruger Old Army

Thanks, subsequent ones got better as I went along of course, untill I was about 75% satisfied with my work I was forced into it because I comletely missed the locking screw not being engaged and bent the original pin at it's weakest part, damaging it ireparably.

    Ruger Old Army

One of the reasons why I bought myself a lathe was in the hope that I could make small parts, I managed to bend the base pin on my ROA. Buy a replacement? In your dreams John. One on a well known auction site £35.00 Five quids worth of steel, half a day on the lathe and the mill/drill - how...

    Caps

I had some delivered last week, carriage doubled, caps up 25%. My sport is starting to get expensive. What worries me is, if you have a shortage it’s going to bite here too!

I put the link in above, sadly S&S won’t ship to GB any-more, presumably since we left the EU. Shame, I had a shopping list too, including one of these https://www.ssfirearms.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SA450

    What did you do today

I started this thread in December because I was frustrated at not being able to get my hands on two new to me revolvers and wanted to see what other members were doing. I don’t have any more preparation to do before I get the freedom to visit the dealer and the range again. It is interesting...

Made mine from brass and steel, both from the ‘scrap’ bin. Use it in an old English made, single stage press.
