.50 CVA Frontier Hunter Carbine - Bored out to 28 gauge smoothbore for squirrel hunting ?

I've had this thing lying around for a quite some time, tried selling it locally, ($250 with the CVA scope kit and offset hammer and a scope) - no interest Now I'm thinking it might make a good shotgun for the squirrel squirrel woods. I'll have it bored out to .550 (28 gauge), which should be...

    Percussion to Flintlock Conversion

Thank you. This looks like it's a bit out of my wheelhouse. I'm good with wood - metal and machining not so comfortable. I thought it was an unscrew the drum and screw in a liner. Nope ! https://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/threads/percussion-to-flintlock-conversion.21703/

Deepest darkest blue I've ever seen

Was down at the Chambers Rifle homestead back in April, got the grand tour with Mom Chambers (awesome lady!) There was a gun in the museum room that had some of the decorative bits and screw heads blued to a dark reflective depth like I've never seen before and can't get out of my head. I wish I...

BUYER BEWARE - Mntnhntr is a SCAMMER

For me, the phone call is absolutely necessary for any transaction over just a few bucks. If they refuse to talk to you over the phone before you send the $$, the odds are you're not getting the item after you send the $$.

Just a heads up - Navy Arms Pedersoli Percussion SxS deal in Va.

I have absolutely no connections in any way to this shop - in fact I think they have no friggen clue when it comes towards muzzleloaders. I drove all the way over there because they had a flintlock for a good price, and it turns out they don't know the difference between percussion and...

Thank goodness, we were so worried that the stagecoach was going to be robbed !

Do you have to do an FFL transfer of a muzzleloader in Va. ??

NJ is screwed but honestly, NY should be split into two states, The Bouroughs, LI and Westchester, then the rest of the state

Do you have to do an FFL transfer of a muzzleloader in Va. ??

Wait... what ? NY now forces you to do a transfer for a black powder long gun ?

TC maxiball too tight in a TC Hawken ?

You can only explain things to people so many times before you get annoyed by their denseness (see what I did there ?)

Do you have to do an FFL transfer of a muzzleloader in Va. ??

I double checked by calling two shops down there. Nope, Va is not as stupid as NJ (not that it is a surprise)

Do you have to do an FFL transfer of a muzzleloader in Va. ??

I'm selling a Miruku Springfield 1864 to a guy I know in VA. I'm going to transport it down to him (He lives near my son so gives me an excuse to see my sons new place) Here in the Peoples Republic of NJ we have to go through an FFL, so this gun is registered to me here. Is a bill of sale enough ?
