    1F For Shotguns?

Is 1F preferable to 2F for large bore shotguns? (12 and up) If so, why? Thanks

Small game with a 50 cal?

You might try lead shot, probably work out 15 yards or so. Also maybe sub-caliber balls with a thick patch might work.

    1849 As A First "Colt"?

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the 1860 Army, just because I already have a Remington in .44 and I'd like to use the same balls for both. Thanks

Is the 1849 pocket pistol a good choice as a first "Colt" revolver? Thanks

Small Shot Charges To Grains Equivalents

What are the grains by volume equivalent to 3/8, 1/2, and 5/8 oz of shot? I can't seem to find it anywhere and my shot dipper starts at 1 oz. Thanks

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Took delivery of some accouterments from TOW. Just waiting for the snow to melt, so I can get out and shoot. I'm thinking July sometime.

    round balls don't do well

Get a slower twist barrel or stick with conicals for hunting. 2 1/2" at 50 yards ain't too bad. Personally, I set my hunting range limit to 60 yards.

    Slings

Are there any slip on slings that don't block the sights? Thanks

One Or Two Bores For Everything?

A thread from earlier this week got me thinking. Why not have just one or two bore sizes for all of my muzzleloaders. It would make range trips a lot less of a hassle. So I've settled on .54 caliber and 12 bore for everything. I already have both right now, I just want to add a flintlock...

FOR SALE Pedersoli Baker Cavalry Shotgun

20 gauge, 11"+ barrel, single trigger, nice walnut stock. There appears to be some discoloration in the bore towards the muzzle, though it doesn't feel like it's pitted. Not sure. Wads, patches, a jag, and .60 cal balls included. $700.00 obo shipped. Postal money order.

TRADE Lyman .50 Cal Plains Pistol

Bought a couple years ago. works fine generally, but the barrel wedge can be tricky to push in. A half box or so of .490 lead balls included. Box and manual included, but I can't find the belt clip, $300.00 shipped. Will also trade for a .54 cal version. Postal money order preferred. Thanks

    Which Shot Dipper?

I ordered the cheap plastic dipper from TOW along with some other items. It had a wider range of adjustment than the more traditional type. Thanks for the input.
