I tend to agree… I’ve killed a couple moose & the meat is good but I’d still give the nod to elk. Both of mine were Shiras though. I suppose the taste between sub species, location etc could make a difference?

Good luck! I’ve been trying to get some CCI #11’s for months. Unfortunately there’s guy’s out there with 1000’s of them & they keep buying more every chance they get! I’m down to about a dozen caps. I do have a tin of the “magnums” I might have to try if I completely run out.

Took the .54 GRRW CA to the range today to see if I could hit anything at 100 yards. I've only shot it at 50 & 75 yards so far. It's good to go for mule deer hunting in a week and a half from now! It's actually the 3rd rifle season here in Colorado but I will probably try to get one with the...
