    Challenge for the weekend....

I'll tell you, skin one sometime, and you will have no doubt as to their edibility look at these backstraps: There was enough meat left on the back bones that i just cut them into sections and through them in the pot along with everything else.

    Challenge for the weekend....

They are quite interesting to eat. Thats for sure. Most people will say you can't eat them, but thats bullcrap. They are just fine. I have heard that the children of the great depression grew up on nothing but jackrabbits, and looked upon them as poverty food...and perhaps that's where the...

    DUDE, SMOKED HIM!!!???

I once smoked a squirrel at 5 feet with a .54 caliber head shot...i missed... caught completely off gaurd, the squirrel froze wide eyed and twitching in confusion; puzzled by the deafening thunder and a man stepping out of a smoke cloud...must have appeared to be some kind of wizard or something...

    Challenge for the weekend....

Make double sure you stop and walldrug and go all the way to the back, outside into the other building, and look at all the period photo black and whites from the settlement and indian war days.

You need this and don't know it

No, but southern Indiana did, beyond belief...and I kept and still have guns that had been there for almost 20 years.

You need this and don't know it

    Morning bird hunt

Man, i have not been a shotgunner since i was a teenager and started getting into muzzleloaders and self bows...kind of lost interest in bird hunting as i picked up traditional archery and bowhunting... but guys like you and britsmoothy are getting me motivated! Beautiful. I am seriously...

    Hunter orange wool available

I suppose the intersections of hunter orange, wool, and period correct occupies a practically microscopic sales market. Lol. Never really thought about it. Wow.

    Hunter orange wool available

Not entirely off topic, but have you ever looked at Fred Asbel's wool?

    Loading single shot pistols

When I reload my pistol I drop to my knees with the butt end of the gun between my legs and its muzzle up, then I load out of my shooting bag hanging on my right side, seat my ball with my knife handle, cut my patch, then grab it by the forend and barrel, and ram it with my ball starter, and...

    Challenge for the weekend....

Well, here's what i came up with: Bison and two rabbits... I GUESS, since a jackrabbit is twice the size of a cottontail, then technically a jackrabbit (bottom) and a cottontail (top) counts as 3 cottontails, right?...nope.😣 Tatanka... Tracks No arrowheads, but I did find an agate...
