In the end I’m just happy to have reasonable looking smoothbore. Down the road maybe I will able to afford a nice trade rifle! I’ll use 3 pins on this barrel. It’s 36” total length, 32 in the stock.

What option do you think would work best? Or something completely different?

If you installed a vent liner would you do anything different location wise?

could you take a picture of your flash hole location in relation to the pan? Do you subscribe to the "sunset" location group?

Will you be installing a vent liner? Or do you just use a single touch hole?

I will need to do that to fit my smoothbore barrel into my Traditions Kentucky stock.

Did you tap and install a vent liner or just drill a touch hole?

Do you fit the tang then drill/mark the bolt hole on the bottom of the tang from the bottom trigger side?

Rob what do you normally do for sights? I plan to just have a front site on my smoothbore. I have a fusil solder on front site coming from Track.

Never done any soldering other than wiring. done a fair bit of braze welding but that’s it.

I have a Colerain smoothbore in the mail. Will be soldering on lugs and front site too. Will be a first for me. Drilling and tapping the vent hole will be another first

Good points. I’m a novice at cutting dove tails. I’ll be pinning them so will try forming some but will also order a couple dove tail ones from Track that I can just solder on if the formed ones don’t work out.
