The T/C WMC in caplock is very common,I've been looking for a flintlock version for a couple of months now with no luck, they must be super scarce, i can't even find a picture of a white mountain carbine flinter

I own several t/c caps and one 58 flint, my question is did the white mountian carbine ever come in flint?

this is the flint that was in the lock when i bought the rifle at a gun show, a believe its an agate in a leather holder

Even without using the lock, and doing it by hand, no spark, a piece of flint can't go bad, thats what make me think about the frizzen

Being new to flintlocks, i picked up a t/c renegade, and can not get a spark. I took the lock apart and even scraped the frizzen with the flint by hand, still no spark? does the frizzen need to be rehardend?

hey, just picked up a .58 renegade flinter, they tell me it was available only thru T/C custom shop, have'nt shot it yet, will let you know when i do

thanks brown bear, but mine is a 27" t/c barrel that has .58 renegade stamped in it, with double set triggers that is a true renegade, with a t/c factory recoil pad, i'am still alittle puzzled!

Do the big boars say it on the barrel, this one does not,it only says renegade .58 cal. Also what is the twist of your big boar barrel?

Just picked up a .50 white mountain carbine. Does anyone know the barrel twist, is it 1 in 48 or 1 in 24?
