SOLD - Pending funds Traditional style Solingen sheath knife $45 shipped to lower 48.

Blade is approximately 6" long. I haven't been able to identify the Mountain and Pick logo so I have no idea who made the knife. Scales look to be slabs of antler. US Postal MO only. A very traditional style of knife.

FOR SALE Voos, Solingen traditional sheath knife $45 shipped to lower 48

Blade is approximately 6" in length. These old Solingen knives typically had pretty good steel and this is a traditional blade style. Grips are held on with a brass nut so it would be pretty easy to replace them with a piece of antler from you latest harvest. $45 shipped to the lower 48, USPO...

    What do I have here

There is a picture of him in this link: https://www.ong.ohio.gov/buckeye-guard/archives/1978-BG-V3N3-June.pdf. They started giving items like this in addition to trophies because if you won something shiny it was retained by the Unit.

Well that didn't go as planed.

I did buy this used but the action seemed fine on initial inspection. However unless the trigger was not properly hardened from the factory I have a hard time imagining a spent cap damaging the sear nose. Next time I place a parts order a trigger will be on the list.

How do you prep your C&B revolver for an outing?

Nothing different in my loading technique, bit I do use a full flap holster.

Well that didn't go as planed.

Took my recently purchased ASM 60 Army to the range yesterday. Test firing with 25 gns of 3fg and a .454 RB went as expected. Decent group at 25', 6" high but centered. Then it swallowed a spent cap. I could not clear the cap and the action locked up. Took it home and disassembled the revolver...

SOLD - Pending funds Lamson & Goodnow, $35 shipped to the lower 48

I don't think the filed notches or tiger maple scales are original but are well done. Carbon steel blade and I believe this knife to be late 19th or early 20th century make. However it would look right at home on your belt. From my internet research the map stamp was adopted in 1871. The Made...

    Lamson & Goodnow sheath knife

This Lamson & Goodnow sheath knife was in the lot of knives I had recently purchased. I admit I never heard of the company but found that they were founded in 1837. To me this has the feel of a 19th century knife. The logo is a map of the continental US with Made in U.S. stamped above it. I...

Oxidized balls, think they will be a problem?

I'll be shooting these in a revolver, so I expect the oxidation will be shaved off during loading and not actually come in contact with the bore.

Oxidized balls, think they will be a problem?

Last month I bought a box of Hornady .454 round balls at a gun show. When I opened the box up later I discovered they are all oxidized, almost crusty. I'm not sure how this could happen unless they were under water at some point. I'm going to shoot a few Wednesday to see what if any effect the...

    ASM 44, short barreled revolver

Picked up this ASM 44 on the way back from running an errand to the garden store for my wife. I normally prefer Remington clones but I liked the shorter barrel and it cut and lugged for a shoulder stock. There is a little rust freckling under the barrel near the loading lever lug but could be...

    Spring Nationals

I attended regularly in the 70's and 80's but have not been back since '96. It will be interesting to see what has changed.
