    Canadian hogs

Some north of Peace River, in the Deadwood area for a few years now. Around 15(?) years ago, what appeared to be one was captured on the Suffield base, west of Medicine Hat. Only the one so suspect it was an escapee from somewhere.

    Hello?

Jeez guys, nothing on here for over two months. What's everybody been up to? Worked on my Renegade flinter, back in the winter and that's 'bout all I've accomplished this year. Just felt blah all summer and kept telling myself there's always tomorrow. Until I got to working in late Aug...

Where do you store your powder?

Long term - in the original containers in a cool dry place. Short term - in the barrel.

POI moves with same load ...

As has been said above, could be different climactic conditions. Light, wind speed and/or direction, humidity, barometric pressure. Potentially these could change enough during the course of a day to affect, let alone over a few weeks/months. Particularly over a long enough time between...

WANTED Wear to buy blackpowder stuff canada

Very happy with dealing with Track. Stopped in at The Gun Works in Oregon while passing by. Extremely nice gent who took the time to talk and make sure I got what I needed and not necessarily what I thought I wanted. Online sales as well.

Is investing in a chronograph a good idea?

In my humble opinion, not necessary and even pointless for a BP muzzleloader. Doesn't help you work up your most accurate load and once you've achieved that, you zero for the range you want and find point of impact at different ranges by shooting. Not like we worry about Ballistic...

    T/C thread pitch?

You and my wife. Instructions? Don't need no stinking instructions. Until I have to dig them out of the trash.

    British vs. American Musketry

I remember reading that one of the causes of the 1857 Indian Mutiny was the requirement to bite the end of the cartridge off when offended most of the Indian service members. The rumour it used beef tallow was offensive to the Hindus and the story it contained pork lard did the same to Muslims...

    Shipping a Used Powder Flask

Last couple of times I shipped something Canada Post was only asked if it was hazardous. A few times before they asked what it was. Maybe the local ladies were just curious then, maybe they're not allowed to ask for specifics now. Could be a bit of a crapshoot if they find out what you're...
